Sport Psychology & Mental Coaching

What does it mean?

Sport psychology explores how psychological factors impact participation and performance in sports, exercise, and physical activity, as well as how sport shapes an individual's development and well-being.

Mental coaching is an approach whereby a coach accompanies clients to strengthen mental skills and navigate challenges in their professional, athletic, or personal lives. It is a creative, reflective partnership designed to support growth and unlock personal and professional potential.

Through structured coaching conversations and practical exercises, we can work on themes like:

  • Managing emotions (e.g pre-competitive stress, fears)

  • Developing positive self-talk and imagery scripts

  • Building routines and focus strategies

  • Aligning athletic identity with personal values.

  • (Re)building confidence and/or self-esteem

  • Goal-setting and planning

  • Motivation

  • Life-sport balance

  • Dealing with injuries

  • Navigating transitions (new sport, new level, retirement)
