Psychophysiological Performance Coaching

What does it mean?

If you prefer a more comprehensive approach, we can integrate mental coaching with HRV-guided physiological work. This allows us to address both the mind and the body, creating a holistic and individualised coaching experience.

You can expect to work on:

  • Mental skills, identity, confidence, and/or goals, depending on your needs.

  • Monitoring subjective and physiological variables (heart rate, HRV, sleep, training, recovery strategies).

  • Aligning lifestyle habits with well-being and performance.

How can we work together?

Coaching session with mental training for athletes and high-performance. In Switzerland, the coach and coachee talk about focus, pressure management, emotional regulation, HRV, lifestyle, recovery, and psychophysiological performance.

1-to-1 Sessions

Tailored sessions to address your personal goals and challenges.

    • An integrative approach combining psychology, physiology, and coaching. Some sessions lean more on conversation, others on HRV and lifestyle. The balance shifts over time.

    • A confidential, supportive space to explore and reflect. There is no judgement and no fixed agenda. I work alongside you as a mirror, helping you gain perspective and understand your patterns.

    • Session 1 is about exploring your goals and context

    • Session 2 is educational: gain a deep understanding on what HRV (and isn’t), how to interpret it alongside subjective variables for training, and scientifically proven techniques to modulate vagal activity

    • Optional access to a beta programme to track lifestyle factors

    • Ongoing sessions combine reflection, and data exploration

    • A combination of mental coaching and HRV-based work, adapted to your needs and goals

Physiology-related: What HRV represents physiologically, relationship with stress, recovery, lifestyle, HR and subjective measures, fluctuations in data, and using data to support decisions

    • Mental game-related: Understanding and managing expectations and emotions (e.g., fear, frustration), focus, routines, imagery, self-talk, confidence, identity in sport, motivation, planning, goal-setting, life–sport balance, injuries, transitions, communication, autonomy, responsibility, etc.

    • Clearer priorities around recovery and stress

    • Improved self-regulation

    • Practical perspectives grounded in real experience

*I also work with teams, clubs, and organisations in a more flexible, context-specific way. This usually involves a combination of education, individual support, and collaboration with staff over time. If you’re involved in a team or club and would like to discuss possibilities, you’re welcome to reach out.
